Between 23 February and 3 March 2009 three Regional Workshops were held on safeguards as defined in the Project Implementation Manual (PIM). To strengthen the capacities to handle safeguard measures approx. one hundred provincial staff, working with safeguard issues were brought together in these workshops. The participants were selected by respective ExCom’s in consultation with NCDD.
